8-ton, Sd.Kfz.7 Step by step build of Trumpeter kit #01507. Build steps 29 to 33 (build completion)

Previous chapter

Step twenty-nine assembles the tilt frame but as already mentioned this is not an accurate representation. The Dragon kit gets this detail correct.

Steps thirty & thirty-one show the tilt frame and tilt cover option.

In the last two steps, thirty-two & thirty-three it shows the spare wheel positioned underneath the cargo body floor. I am unsure if this was an optional space, but most period images show the spare wheel stored in the narrow separated section forward of the equipment rack.

The Dragon kit provides artillery shells but none are provided in this kit. A plain dark yellow (dunkelgelb) paint scheme guide is provided along with instrument panel and licence plate decals.

The completed build with all the sub-assemblies test fitted to the chassis. Smaller, fragile items like headlamps, width indicators, windscreen wipers, chains, and the outer track wheel halves will be added during final painted assembly.

 Next chapter - paint
